In connection with the launch of our new task light Ninety, all the architects in the Nordic countries and UK were invited to participate in a competition.
The participants had to answer a number of questions concerning the product features and write an inspiring message.
The correct answers were:
1. Ninety consists of four LEDs of 1,5 W each
2. With normal office use the light source will last for 25 years
3. Ninety is dimmable by pushing the power button and holding it
The first prize in each country was a trip to New York, and all the winners would travel as a group. And then, mid June 2008, five architects enjoyed some hectic and interesting days in The Big Apple.
We had arranged for a meeting with the Designer of Ninety, Shawn Littrell. He gave a lecture, which was followed by interesting discussions. Visiting an architect company situated in New York was also on the list of activities, where the company presented concrete examples of how they work with projects. There was also time for valuable discussions. Yet another activity was a guided tour with an architectural touch through New York. Everyone appreciated seeing all the important buildings up close and to hear the story behind.
It was a trip with a lot of architectural input combined with real American Burgers, Steakhouses and Baseball, which will inspire our daily work for a long time!
